Forestry Journal and essentialARB
At
the end of last year Forest Machine Journal acquired the well known magazine,
Forestry & British Timber, which had been for sale for some time.
The two magazines have now been merged under the title Forestry Journal.
essentialARB has appeared as a quarterly supplement to Forestry &
British Timber for a number of years, and the first edition since the
takeover has now been produced.
Forestry Journal aims to meet the requirements of all who work within
the forestry and arboricultural sector. There are, of course, many different
subdivisions to cater for, but every edition should have many items of
interest to any reader. There is always an ‘Arb & Amenity Matters’
section, as well as a wide variety of other articles.
At present Forestry Journal is the only magazine that covers all aspects
of a very diverse industry. A careful editorial balance ensures that every
edition includes articles on industry issues and developments alongside
features which cover the more hands on aspect of the industry.Of course,
the best way to judge is to get a copy and see for yourself... If you
want one, just ask!
This is just a taste of what you can find in Forestry
Journal. Subscribe today for just £49 for 12 issues (UK and Ireland)
£59 elsewhere and be sure to receive your copy every month.

of a Woodman
Part two of the reminiscences takes us to Low Dalby.
1977, and I had spent five happy years at Ganton, but as my life has
always been since leaving Hull, I was ready for a move and a change.
Tyre
Pressure Control
Working smoothly, under less pressure
There has been a great deal of publicity surrounding the merits of tyre
pressure control systems for use within the Scottish timber haulage
sector.
The
American Dream
A windblown site at the north end of the Isle of Skye, a contractor
from Aberdeenshire, timber being shipped to southern Ireland and the
harvester hailing from Wisconsin…

Why Advertise with FJ and essentialARB?
The typical FJ and essentialARB reader subscribes because he regularly
needs to buy equipment to carry out the tasks in which he is involved
on a day-to-day basis. Typically he does not subscribe to any other
industry magazine.
FJ and essentialARB is the magazine for the Forest & British Timber
Industry. This means that if your company’s name has never appeared
in FJ or essentialARB, there is no chance of him even considering you
when he comes to make a buying decision. To advertise, even occasionally,
will get your product onto his short-list.
Subscriptions from government agencies, local authorities, membership
organisations, colleges and universities, as well as contractors and
forestry workers, mean you reach more people, who buy equipment and
services, through FJ and essentialARB than any other medium. Profit
from the success of the most widely read forestry magazine.

FJ and essentialARB are the number one choice of people who make their
living from our industry.
FJ and essentialARB
are widely acknowledged as an authoritative and up-to-date-source of
news on the politics of forestry.
FJ and essentialARB
are the only forestry magazine with a designated Arb / Amenity section
every month

Practical
people – good for business
Forestry
is a practical business – and practical people buy and use the tools
of their trade. A careful editorial balance means that:
FJ and essentialARB always
carries articles on industry issues and developments alongside features
which, cover the more hands-on aspects of forestry.
Always first with the news, FJ and essentialARB are therefore essential
reading for the forestry manager or consultant, but achieves this without
alienating the contractors and forestry workers who make up the core of
its readership.
FJ and essentialARB focuses on a capital intensive area which is simply
not taken seriously by other publications – so if you're not advertising
in FJ
you may be spending money talking solely to managers or consultants who,
when they need to get a job done, will call an FJ reader in to do it for
them!
Don’t waste your valuable resources talking to people who never
buy or use the tools of the trade. Target the right people directly through
the pages of FJ and essentialARB.
