essentialARB has appeared as a quarterly supplement to Forestry & British Timber magazine for a number of years. essentialARB is published quarterly and is now available through a separate subscription. Subscribers to Forestry Journal will receive it as a free supplement for a limited period.

The first new edition has been distributed with Forestry Journal’s June 2008 issue. The magazine also goes out to members of the Arboricultural Association and members of the International Society of Arboriculture (UK and Ireland Chapter).

The majority of essentialARB is written by arborists for arborists, and contains a lively mix of articles covering all aspects of the industry including product reviews, case studies, company profiles, reports on events, etc. The aim is to cover everything going on in the industry, and to act as a focal point to bring everyone together.

After 13 years trading as Forest Machine Journal in January 2008 we changed our name to Forestry Journal, this step has been taken to reflect the full content of the magazine.



Also in January 2008 we acquired the publication Forestry & British Timber. Relevant components of F&BT will be incorporated within Forestry Journal.
