Of course, the best way to judge is to get a copy and see for yourself... If you want one, just ask!

This is just a taste of what you can find in Forestry Journal. Subscribe today for just £59 for 12 issues (UK and Ireland) £69 Overseas and £35 for students, be sure to receive your copy every month.

Husqvarna 346XP
The Husqvarna 346XP always was a bit of a starter saw – a very plain small saw with no pretensions and frankly not a lot to offer. At 45cc it was just a tad short on power, and, despite good handling and light weight, it was condemned to mediocrity by being that little bit underpowered.

Scotland ROCs
Many in the forest industry were taken aback by the remarkably short window of opportunity for applications to the Scottish Biomass Support Scheme (SBSS) last year, but the Scottish Executive proposal for a banded Renewable bligation Certificate (ROC) scheme for woodfired electricity generation has hardly rompted any comment at all.

Valtra’s Automatic Choice
A new line-up of tractors, a new name for Sisu Diesel, and an insight into what sort of diesel engine you will be driving in a few years’ time. Valtra have added additional models to their N and T series, and also added a brand new five-model S series at the top of their range.

Why advertise with Forestry Journal and essentialARB?
The typical Forestry Journal and essentialARB reader subscribes because he regularly needs to buy equipment to carry out the tasks in which he is involved on a day-to-day basis. Typically he does not subscribe to any other industry magazine.

Forestry Journal and essentialARB is the magazine for the Forest & British Timber Industry. This means that if your company’s name has never appeared in Forestry Journal or essentialARB, there is no chance of him even considering you when he comes to make a buying decision. To advertise, even occasionally, will get your product onto his short-list.

Subscriptions from government agencies, local authorities, membership organisations, colleges and universities, as well as contractors and forestry workers, mean you reach more people, who buy equipment and services, through FJ and essentialARB than any other medium. Profit from the success of the most widely read forestry magazine.

Forestry Journal and essentialARB are the number one choice of people who make their living from our industry.
Forestry Journal and essentialARB are widely acknowledged as an authoritative and up-to-date-source of news on the politics of forestry.
Forestry Journal and essentialARB are the only forestry magazine with a designated Arb / Amenity section every month

Practical people – good for business

Forestry is a practical business – and practical people buy and use the tools of their trade. A careful editorial balance means that:

Forestry Journal and essentialARB always carries articles on industry issues and developments alongside features which, cover the more hands-on aspects of forestry.

Always first with the news, Forestry Journal and essentialARB are therefore essential reading for the forestry manager or consultant, but achieves this without alienating the contractors and forestry workers who make up the core of its readership.

Forestry Journal and essentialARB focuses on a capital intensive area which is simply not taken seriously by other publications – so if you're not advertising in Forestry Journal you may be spending money talking solely to managers or consultants who, when they need to get a job done, will call an Forestry Journal reader in to do it for them!

Don’t waste your valuable resources talking to people who never buy or use the tools of the trade. Target the right people directly through the pages of Forestry Journal and essentialARB.
